i cannot tell you all how much i am enjoying this Christmas break. it has been soosooosoo needed that i'm almost overwhelmed. drew and i had a wonderful time up in ny, even though levi wasn't born while we were up there... he's supposed to come sometime today. but i did lose my husband to our niece lillian... he's so in love. it's made us really think about our own plans for starting our own family.
although we didn't receive a whole lot of presents... it was a really nice Christmas and i was really happy to share it with drew. it's the first Christmas that he has spent with my family.
now that we're back in oh drew is back to work for a couple days and i'm doing all sorts of things around the house and at school, trying to catch up. but at least i can take my time. and rest a little bit.
tonight drew and i are planning on heading to columbus to hang out with my kathiter while she's in town, jess, and several other wonderful ladies... i'm excited.
then tomorrow we have planned to go shopping ... since the majority of our Christmas gifts were money and we desperately need to get some new work clothes we're going to go look for some good sales.
for the eve of new years we really don't have too much planned other than hanging out with katie... which is always fun and eventful... then we'll take monday to relax before heading back to work in full force.

seeing that it's been well over two months, and i actually have two seconds to calmly write an update ... i might as well take advantage of this opportunity.
right now drew, kanooka, ronin, and i have escaped to streator, illinios for thanks giving. i am MORE than ready for this break, i needed so badly to get away from mount vernon and life.
right now school has been ok... it's been in transition since there has been a major shift in the classroom. I can honestly say that the class that I have this year has made me think about my choice in career. and the relationships that i have with some of the teachers have changed as well, which really sucks since i have less ppl to talk to. But I really don't have ANY free-time to see any of the teachers because with this class i require a lot more quite time to recover from their noise.
moving on...
so i finally sold my escort ... which we thought was a good thing, but seeing that we ended up having to take the lumina in for some "minor" break work... which ended up being over 800 dollars... we ended up getting rid of that as well. so went went to Columbus and bought what we thought to be a good car for what we thought to be a good deal. if you want to see a pic, check out drew's site.
So we have had a lot of traveling lately with family birthdays... notjust regular birthdays, but drew's grandpa had a big party for his 90th... so we were in Chicago for that. Then in November we headed to Vestal, NY for my grandparents 75th birthdays. well when we got within about 45 miles from my grandparents' house our NEW car decided to over heat... so after 2 hours of waiting for AAA to come and tow us away we finally got to their house after 10pm. the next day my dad and uncle thoroughly checked out the car and didn't find any reason for it to be overheating, and Sunday we were attempting to drive back to OH when it over heated again. So my uncle tried to fix it, then my cousin finally came and checked it out and of course it was something that was BEYOND expensive... the head gasket. so around 5 that evening drew and I headed to OH in a loaner car... let me tell you that that was a fun trip.
so all of that week i was fighting with the car dealership trying to get them to fess up and pay for the car... or at least give us our money back.
mean while.... at home gimp was really sick and at the vet with kidney failure.
so thursday after school i drove home to NY, where they were under a state of emergency due to major flooding. Pop Pop had another heart surgery ... which was very successful... and I finally picked up my car from Bryan around 3pm.... paid his shop way too much money. and heading back to OH.
drew had brought gimp home for the weekend. he didn't look well at all, which was beyond upsetting for me.
then on tuesday I picked gimp up from the vet again, becuase we were planning on bringing him up here with us so that we could keep an eye on him. and the vet told me that with a special diet and some meds he should be fine for a couple more years. gimp was pretty much back to normal which was really exciting to see. then drew and i had dinner and were watching the good old gilmore girls and when I went to get Gimp so he could sit with us on the couch and he was dead... holy moly!!! i freaked out. we buried him and went to bed.
i'm more than emotionally drained!
anyways... i'm happy to be up here away from things.
i need some coffee...
